Collaboration and productivity are fundamental keywords in the business world. Every company is aware of their importance to reach success and added value. Yet, many organizations struggle to put them into practice in their daily work.
Microsoft Teams: the new workspace
In these cases, technology comes to help. Microsoft offers an effective tool to improve collaboration, productivity and accessibility among employees, regardless their location: Microsoft Teams. Specifically, it is a hub that facilitates teamwork thanks to many features built right into Microsoft Office 365. All employees in the company can share and access contents, documents, tools, people, conversations, chats, meetings in one virtual workplace. Moreover, users can access other tools like SharePoint, Skype for Business, One Note within Teams.
The past is in emails, the future in Teams!
As Microsoft said: “We built Microsoft Teams because we see both tremendous opportunity and tremendous change in how people and teams get work done. Teams are now more agile and organizational structures more flat to keep communications and information flowing”.
Microsoft Teams becomes in this context a more open, digital environment that makes work easier. Today there is no more space for thousands of emails and time-consuming meetings. This is just the past. The future is looking at doing more things in less time, by using new technologies and tools.
However, despite the great potentialities, many companies are reluctant to change their software, technologies and methods of working. They just prefer staying attached to the past. Going out of the comfort zone is difficult for everyone, but when the benefits are so huge, maybe some efforts are worth to be done.
Employees should not be left alone in this challenge. For many people, using a tool such as Teams could be considered as the most difficult thing in the world. But if leaders actually take the lead, inspire, motivate and train employees, the road toward a more collaborative business will be smooth and successful.
